Using a moss raker helps your grass to grow.
If you have a lot of problems with moss, it is a good idea to go the extra length and dethatch.
For best results, dethatch during the spring every year. A Moss Raker digs down into the lawn and yanks up most of the plant material growing in the upper thatch layer of your lawn rather than in the soil. Since this is where moss grows, disturbing the thatch can help prevent moss from settling in.
